who’s that website girl?

Website designer & Virtual Assistant - Perth, Wa

Naturally awkward. Super geeky. Extra smiley.

Hellooooo!!! My name is Michelle, and I’m a confessed geek, music lover, sun chaser, dad joke enthusiast, mum and a Perth-based virtual assistant.

I work with established small business owners to help them catch up and regain momentum in the ever-changing online world. I also work with new small businesses to bring their online brand vision to life. Whatever my task is, my main aim is to make this process as smooth and effortless as possible for my clients.

I specialise in the creation of websites and eCommerce stores. I set up, maintain and build database management systems for things like inventory and people management. And I assist people through the digital marketing processes of search engine optimisation and the powerhouse that is Google.

Through the love of photography, I create graphical screen content and am a whiz in the Adobe Creative Cloud programs – I can make your product photos sing!

I am currently studying Digital Marketing, and have completed three years of a Marketing/Management degree, alongside two years in law school. I have a strong administration background with over 15 years of experience in various administrative, Executive Assistant and HR roles in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Having worked most of this time in regional and remote areas, I’ve developed a unique approach to problem-solving. I also gained the reputation as the “go-to-girl for computer stuff” as support was rarely readily available.

Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to help people – I’ve got this unreal passion for it. There’s also this creative element to what I do that keeps driving me to learn more about what I do. I could go on and on, but right down to it – I love seeing people reach their goals and love being able to help them get there!

So, please do get in touch. Especially if you need help or advice on your website or the systems that plug into it. I can help you turn these into powerful business tools that do some of the heavy lifting for you.

Did you know.... CAPTCHA isn’t just a cute way of saying “we gotcha” to those spam bots?! It actually stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” and should be a part of all of your website contact forms.⁣⁣⁣

As @briancarter said on the Search Engine Journal, "Just one. But it's going to take about 3 to 6 months to start to see the light bulb change. And that light bulb's pretty high up there. Are you sure you wouldn't rather change ten easier light bulbs?" ⁣

Hello Lala Design. ⁣⁣

Straight off the bat, the term SEO itself is a bit of a funny one, because we aren't optimising search engines. We're optimising our website so that search engines can crawl & rank them based on what people are searching for (if that wasn't already a mouthful). It's pretty much a set of rules based on authority, relevance and quality that helps your website rank and pull in the $$ for free (or organically). ⁣
